This course offers supervision in many areas of social policy; applications are particularly invited in the following areas which reflect academics interests and expertise: government policies intended to change citizens behaviour; public policy decision making processes; privacy, personal information, and the politics of identity and identification management; volunteering; social citizenship; welfare and migration (including asylum; labour and retirement migration); ageing and social inclusion or exclusion; homelessness and multiple exclusion: causes and policy responses; faiths and civil society; social welfare and the Chinese community (both in the UK and the Far East); young people and political participation is encouraged.
A 2.1 Honours degree and a research proposal in an area where supervision is available.
