Systems Thinking in Practice (C72)
This course helps students to develop their understanding of the nature of complex problem situations and tools with which they can be tackled; it seeks to change the way in which they think about the situations they face by using insights from cognitive science and introducing established systems tools; students learn to think more holistically, understanding the roles other people play, taking account of the interconnectedness of all the components making up the problem situation and working more collaboratively; they examine key systems thinkers which enables them to relate their ideas to their own practice.
Normally a UK Honours degree, or equivalent. Students whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.0, with 5.5 in each individual component.
