Researching Mathematics Learning (ME825)
Students develop ways of exploring mathematics teaching and learning, interpret current thinking on the subject and investigate aspects of the social and political context.
Broad experience of UK schools and UK mathematics education; a wide knowledge of mathematics education; published papers on mathematics education; advantageous: higher degree in mathematics education; experience in mathematics education research; ability to reflect effectively on and engage with issues in mathematics education; experience of running mathematics in-service training; an interest in mathematics education internationally.
Assessment is based on 4 tutor marked assignments.
