Human Resource Management
This programme is aimed at graduates with more experience returning to study, and provides the specialist HR skills and knowledge to support them as HR leaders and managers. The CHRM is accredited by the CIPD to meet the requirements for its Advanced Certificate in HRM and access to Associate Membership of the Institute.
Direct entrants: A PGDip from a recognised institution; applications are also considered from those who seek to formalise their prior experiential learning or qualifications; continuing students: English language requirements.
The certificate stage contains 2 modules: Developing personal and managerial effectiveness; human Resources in its business and legal context. For those continuing to the MA from the certificate stage, the MA stage contains these modules: Managing employment relations; resourcing and reward; organisational theory and design; research methods and dissertation. For direct entrants to the MA, the programme contains this module: Research methods and dissertation.
Individual assignments, group work, examinations, a CPD portfolio and the management research report.
