Coaching and Mentoring Practice
This course is aimed at internal or external coaches, consultants, mentor co-ordinators, coaching psychologists, counsellors, managers, human resources development or leadership professionals from the voluntary, public and private sectors.
1st degree or equivalent professional experience; students who have already gained a coaching or mentoring qualification may be given exemption from the practice module; English language requirements: IELTS minimum level 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in the reading and writing components.
Compulsory modules: coaching and mentoring practice fundamentals; transformational learning and adult development; psychotherapeutic dimensions of coaching and mentoring; advanced coaching and mentoring practice; 2 options from: psychological perspectives on the self; coaching and mentoring in organisations; positive psychology; independent study (may be work-based or theoretical); research in coaching and mentoring (compulsory for MA); dissertation.
Coursework assignments; dissertation; no examinations.
