Oxford Brookes University
Coaching and Mentoring
The programme is aimed at experienced professionals seeking to extend and deepen their knowledge and understanding, and demonstrate their commitment and professionalism; typical participants include coaching psychologists, freelance coaches and consultants, mentor co-ordinators, counsellors, senior managers, HRD or leadership professionals from across a range of public and private sector organisations.
For graduate entry to year 1, applicants would normally be expected to have a good Honours degree, plus 3 years' experience in a related field; those with appropriate Master's level qualifications may be eligible for exemptions from certain elements of the programme and could enter in Year 2, or Year 3.
The programme comprises 2 stages; during the 1st stage, which normally takes 3 years to complete on a part-time basis, participants focus on taught components of the curriculum; once this is successfully completed, they move to the 2nd stage: the thesis; this takes 2 years to complete part-time.
