Mobile and Wireless Communications
This course enables students to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to pursue a career in mobile or wireless communications or to continue on to do further research in the communications field. It is aimed both at those already working within the industry and new graduates. The technical skills that students will develop are applicable to a wide range of communication technology roles. There is an optional 1 year industry placement.
1st degree, equivalent to at least a British lower 2nd Class bachelor�s degree, in an electronic engineering, communications or computing related discipline. However, relevant professional experience will also be considered. If an applicant�s 1st language is not English then a minimum IELTS score of 6.0. is required.
Modules include: Research and scholarship methods; wireless communication principles; digital mobile communications; digital communications; network principles; advanced mobile communications; wireless systems and networks; high speed mobile communications; mobile and distributed systems; dissertation.
Assessment methods include coursework exercises, presentations, essays, examinations and dissertaion.
