Real Estate Investment Finance
This course has been designed for real estate professionals across all sectors as well as fund managers and investment bankers who would like to gain a better understanding of real estate as a financial asset in an investment portfolio. The programmes are practically based and offer the opportunity to share knowledge and experience in real life situations. Both the MSc and PG Diploma are available as open-learning programmes and offer students a flexible and innovative way to study. The programmes are supported by a virtual learning environment as well as a series of network seminars which offer students face-to-face contact, input from experts in the field and opportunities to network, share work and study experiences.
1st Class or upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent. It is also desirable to have at least 3 years relevant experience in the workplace. Proof of English language ability where English is not the applicant�s 1st language: IELTS 6.5 or other appropriate evidence.
Modules include: The real estate investment market; applied real estate valuation; real estate finance and investment; legal and regulatory considerations; applied research methods; dissertation.
Each module is organised around 6 learning packages and progress is assessed through a combination of online tests, workbooks, problem-solving, analysis and report writing. Course work, assessment and feedback take place throughout each module and reflect the practical nature of the programmes. There are no formal exams.
