This course provides a programme of preparation for registered nurses, midwives, chiropodists/podiatrists and physiotherapists to prescribe safely and competently as an independent and supplementary prescriber.
Registered health care professional, employed in health care within the UK. 1st degree or equivalent in terms of prior learning at the appropriate level. 3 years post-registration experience. Employed in a suitable role to act as a non-medical prescriber. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTs score of 7.
Modules include: (20 level 7 credits) advanced history taking and assessment; (40 level 7 credits) non-medical prescribing; independent and supplementary prescribing for allied health professionals (AHP's).
