Law (International Trade and Commercial Law)

This course allows students to study some of the most important aspects of international trade and commercial law; options available include international trade law, international investment law, international commercial arbitration, international labour law and international corporate governance.

Entry requirements

1st or upper 2nd class Honours degree, or an equivalent degree awarded by a university outside the United Kingdom. The degree may be in law or in a related discipline. In addition, students whose 1st or main language is not English must provide evidence of English language proficiency with an IELTS minimum score of 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: law of international business transactions; international economic law; advanced legal research methods; advanced issues of international business transactions; international investment law; international commercial arbitration; international intellectual property law; corporate governance and corporate social responsibility; law, globalisation and development; international environmental law; international labour law; European union law; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include coursework, and individual and group presentations.
