Advanced Professional Practice in Neurological Rehabilitation
Normally a health or social care professional with a 1st degree (BSc (Hons) at 2.1 or above or European first cycle equivalent); a professional or therapeutic role within a neurological rehabilitation environment, for example, in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing or speech and language therapy. Applicants who do not have a related academic degree but have appropriate experience related to the programme, may be eligible to apply. An interview may be necessary and applicants will normally be required to submit a short piece of writing as part of the admissions process. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS minimum of 6.5 in each part.
Core modules: Project Design for Research, Research Dissertation and Applying Evidence to Practice. Optional modules include: Injection Therapy for Health Professionals (Botulinum Toxin), Neurological Rehabilitation: Sensorimotor Disorders, Rehabilitation: Cognition, Perception and Behaviour, Advancing the Management of Long Term Conditions and Pathomechanics and Rehabilitation of Gait and Balance. The modules shown for this course or programme are those being studied by current students, or expected new modules. Modules are subject to change depending on year of entry.
