Advanced Professional Practice in Physiotherapy

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to have a 1st degree (BSc (Hons) at 2.1 or above, or European first cycle equivalent) in physiotherapy. Non UK based candidates must be recognised as physiotherapists within their own country. Applicants may be a health or social care professional with a 1st degree or people with related academic degrees. People without a degree but with appropriate experience related to the programme or to any of the chosen pathways may be eligible to apply. Evidence of competence in written and spoken English: IELTS 6.5 in each part. Applicants will be assessed individually for their ability to study at this level and an interview may be necessary. Submission of a short piece of writing is normally required as part of the admissions process.

Course modules

Modules include: applying evidence to practice; developing self and others; evaluating outcomes in practice and project design for research; plus optional modules; advancing the management of long term conditions and injection therapy for health professionals (corticosteroid).
