Advanced Professional Practice in Physiotherapy

This programme is aimed at qualified physiotherapists looking to enhance their current skills and knowledge whilst developing a strong critical thinking ethos. This programme offers students the opportunity to review their current practice and evaluate new approaches, ensuring that they are equipped to meet the challenges of working in an ever changing physiotherapy profession with confidence.

Entry requirements

A 1st degree (BSc Honours at 2.1 or above or European 1st cycle equivalent) in physiotherapy. Non UK based candidates must be recognised as physiotherapists within their own country. Applicants who do not hold a degree but with appropriate experience related to the programme or to any of the chosen pathways may be eligible to apply. An interview may be necessary and applicants will normally be required to submit a short piece of writing as part of the admissions process. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS minimum of 6.5 in each part.

Course modules

Core modules: Project Design for Research, Research Dissertation and Applying Evidence to Practice. Optional modules include: Physiotherapy Practice: Supported Study.
