Contemporary Healthcare (Advancing Practice)
This programme is specifically designed for practitioners in health and social care and allied health professions who engage with a broad range of individuals with differing health and social care needs. The programme is designed to both develop and embed knowledge, skill and confidence in practitioners who may already be working in a senior position as well as providing a base for those who are aspiring to advance their career.
Applicants should normally hold a 1st degree or equivalent qualification and hold 1st registration with a professional body, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council or the Health Professions Council. The minimum IELTS score for acceptable English proficiency for entry is normally 6.5.
Modules include: advanced consulting and clinical skills; leadership, law and decision making in advancing practice; preparation of supervisors of midwives (M); advancing research knowledge in practice 1; advancing research knowledge in practice 2; dissertation.
