This programme is aimed at those who wish to continue their professional development in nursing, midwifery and healthcare. The programme reflects political and professional changes in healthcare and will advance skills, knowledge and insight in this challenging sector. With the option to study part-time over 3 years, students can pick the modules they want to study and choose how they learn. Students will leave fully equipped to provide more effective, efficient and quality patient care across many sectors.

Entry requirements

A relevant 1st degree or European 1st cycle equivalent plus a professional qualification in health or social care. Those without a degree but with relevant practice related experience may be eligible to apply.

Course modules

First and second year core modules: Advancing Research Knowledge in Practice. Optional modules include: Advanced Newborn and Infant Examination. Final year core module: Dissertation. The modules shown for this course or programme are those being studied by current students, or expected new modules. Modules are subject to change depending on year of entry.
