This course enables students to become competent and capable clinical psychologists. Students will receive training which emphasises psychotherapy, reflective practice, complex clinical issues and applicable research skills. This programme aims to enhance student's psychological career and enable them to become a highly reflective scientist practitioner.
Successful applicants are employed by the NHS as trainee clinical psychologists. Trainees are supported by training salaries from the South West Strategic Health Authority who also pay fees, accommodation during teaching at the University bases, and travel expenses. There will be 2 places available on the course that are not funded by the NHS for the academic year starting September 2015. We invite applications for these places from international applicants who can provide their own funding and who are eligible for overseas fees status. Trainees with home fees status are supported by a salary at NHS Band 6 from the South West Strategic Health Authority who also pay fees, accommodation during teaching at the University bases, and travel expenses.
