Advanced Hydrography for Professionals
The programme covers the demands of the global hydrographic survey industry. A number of intensive practical, residential sessions are held.
All applications are considered on individual merit. An Honours degree would normally be expected in hydrographic surveying or a marine-based science subject with a hydrographic survey component. Applicants without appropriate qualifications can be considered on an individual basis, based on prior experience. GCSE grade C or above in English language is required. If English is not the applicants native language an IELTS average score of 6.5 or above with a score of at least 6.5 in the written component.
Modules include: advanced nautical science for hydrography; fundamentals of hydrography; meteorology and oceanography; sensors and underwater acoustics.
