Physiotherapy (pre-registration)

The aim of this course is to produce physiotherapists who are characterised by enhanced academic, intellectual and scientific abilities and who can contribute to the well-being and future direction of the health of the individual and of society.

Entry requirements

2.1 Honours degree in science or engineering; course not suitable for those already holding a qualification in physiotherapy; satisfactory criminal records check required.

Course modules

Anatomy; physiology; biomechanics; professional studies; musculoskeletal physiotherapy; neurological physiotherapy; practice-based learning; cardio-respiratory physiotherapy; psychosocial perspectives; research methods for physiotherapists; physical activity and health promotion; professional studies 2; research project; practice-based learning.

Assessment methods

Examinations; coursework; presentations; practical exams.
