This continuing professional development course is aimed at the needs of educators in the work place and higher education including: nurses and midwives; allied health professionals; doctors; lecturers in higher, further and community education; librarians and police trainers; students will have the opportunity to work and study with a range of professionals to explore experiences of learning.

Entry requirements

UK Honours degree or equivalent; must have access to an adult (16+) learning environment.

Course modules

Education in action; curriculum development or developing professional education, work based learning; evaluating evidence in teaching and learning; current issues in education; examples of elective modules include: advanced approaches to facilitation and assessment; managing health care education; network technologies in the learning environment.

Assessment methods

Personal critiques; portfolios; seminar presentations.
