Clinical Drug Development
This programme has been designed to give students the necessary academic background and specialist skills needed to carry out clinical drug development in a contract research organisation, pharmaceutical industry or health service environment.
A degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject or professional qualifications; students must be proficient in English.
Modules include: Drug discovery and pre-clinical research and development; toxicology; clinical study design; practical aspects of clinical research and early drug development; ethics and regulation in clinical research; data management, the interpretation of statistics and pharmacokinetics; special topics in clinical trial design; health and pharmaco-economics; a research project or dissertation.
