Topics covered include management, policy sciences, organisation studies and economics to enable public managers to enrich and deepen their understanding of their work.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent required and typically 3 years relevant work experience. The Admissions Tutor will waive this requirement under exceptional circumstances. English language requirement: IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 100.

Course modules

Modules include: Public policy and governance; economics of the public sector; public financial management and accounting; organisation behaviour in the public services; policy evaluation and research methods; leadership and strategy in the public services; human resource management in the public services; global governance and international organisations; economics of development; managing diversity.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by coursework assignments.
