Documentary Practice

The programme enables students to produce distinctive, high-quality documentary productions to an industry standard and to undertake the intellectual study of documentary and film theory.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 degree in humanities or creative arts; graduates from a non-humanities are considered but are subject to a written assignment in order to assess their suitability for the programme; all candidates are invited for an interview; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require an English language qualification.

Course modules

Modules include: Documentary film: theory and practice; film studies research project; film studies core module; auteur direction; history, fiction, memory in french film; 9/11 and american film.
