International Dispute Resolution (Mediation)

This programme gives students a thorough grounding on all major issues arising in day-to-day international mediation practice; promotes academic research of the highest standard on selected topics of interest; allows flexibility to enable students to plan and balance their study and work commitments.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have an Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in Law (or with law as a major element) at a British university or the equivalent in other universities. Equivalent professional qualifications and experience are accepted at the discretion of the Programme Director.

Course modules

Modules include: Alternative dispute resolution; negotiation and mediation workshop (residential). Optional modules: international and comparative commercial arbitration; international construction: contracts and arbitration; international trade and investment dispute settlement; international commercial litigation; international commercial law; multi-party negotiations and mediation; labour disputes.
