Global Health, Law and Governance

The programme analyses the key international organisations and legal instruments that influence national public health policies. It critically examines the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) and key international conventions and protocols, and asks what the WHO's role is when so many public health challenges are related to environmental change and other areas of sectoral governance such as trade or human rights, and with so many other public and private-sector players on the global health field.
