Research areas include: Experimental particle physics (including standard model and beyond at hadron colliders, neutrino physics, and flavour physics); condensed matter and materials physics (organic conductors, structure-property relations, and disordered and nanoscale materals); theoretical physics (particularly string theory and its many applications in physics and mathematics).
A minimum upper 2nd Class BSc (Honours) degree in physics, astrophysics or astronomy.
EPSRC, PPARC and CASE studentships available; some funding by various overseas bodies.
