Ecological Management and Conservation Biology
This course aims to afford students with appropriate scientific backgrounds the opportunity to expand their knowledge of ecological management and conservation biology.
MSc: A 2.2 Honours degree or above in a relevant area of science or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University. PG Diploma: A Pass degree or above in a relevant area of science or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University. Non-EEA nationals must satisfy the UK Border Agency (UKBA) immigration requirements for English language for visa purposes. Evidence of an IELTS* score of 6.0, with not less than 5.5 in any component, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University is required. *Taken within the last 2 years.
Modules include: Ecological management and conservation biology (double module); foundations for research in the biosciences; literature review; professional development; skills in ecological management and conservation.
Assessment is through examination and coursework; students completing the MSc are also required to complete a dissertation.
