Regent's University London
Regent's University London
Regent’s University London is London’s only independent, not-for-profit university, with a highly cosmopolitan community based in royal Regent’s Park and Marylebone.
Our main campus in Regent’s Park, set in 11 acres of private garden, is a quiet, secluded haven in which to live and study. The campus is within easy reach of all that this exciting European city has to offer. We are close to the centre of London and the city’s famous theatres, galleries and museums, as well as major sporting and entertainment venues.
The University is a hive for innovative thinkers – students who want to learn in a supportive, personal environment and who will enter the world of work as entrepreneurs and leaders who think and operate globally.
Regent’s is small and intimate enough to feel like a home away from home, and we are proud to welcome students of more than 140 nationalities.
We offer postgraduate programmes at Master’s level in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Media, Marketing, Communications, PR and Events; Business Management and Human Resources; Economic Accounting and Finance; and Film, Drama and Acting. You may also study for postgraduate diplomas in Fashion and Design. Our School of Psychology and Psychotherapy offers a wide range of programmes at Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate, Master’s and DPSych level in several disciplines.
A Regent's education focuses on connecting staff and students from across the world, and across disciplinary boundaries. You will benefit from access to the latest thinking and developments in your field. Our strong and broad international ethos emphasises global leadership, an entrepreneurial approach and intercultural intelligence.
Our staff are working experts in their fields and are able to offer real-world practical experience and exercises in the course of their teaching and supervision.
We promote research, scholarly activity and consultancy through our research centres, publications, events and special-interest groups. From September 2016, we will be offering a range of research degrees, validated by the University of Northampton.
We support research that underpins our academic programmes and adds value to the student learning experience, while also promoting new knowledge, enquiry and scholarship.
Our academic staff undertake high-quality research which ensures our programmes reflect the latest global developments.
We have five research centres, which aim to enhance the vitality of the institution and inform and update our teaching programmes.
- Institute of Contemporary European Studies (iCES)
- Networks of Power (NOP)
- Regent’s Centre for Transnational Studies (RCTS)
- Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology Reflections Research Centre (PCPR)
- Centre for Banking and Finance
The student experience is central to all we do, and the facilities and support we offer are first rate. Our library service offers more than 150,000 items, and we are adding to this constantly. We have more than 25 IT labs equipped with PCs and Apple Mac workstations with a range of resources and specialist software packages and campus-wide WiFi. Media students have access to state-of-the-art film equipment and editing suites.
All our students benefit from extensive care, both in terms of personal and academic support and expert career guidance. The Regent’s family is small and close, and there is a wide range of social and cultural activities available to students, including many organised trips around London and beyond. Our location in London’s biggest outdoor sports arena gives student’s unprecedented opportunities for exercise and competitive sport.
