Digital Marketing and Analytics
Throughout the programme students explore how social media marketing, big data, cloud computing and mobile marketing will influence the future of marketing; students gain an understanding of digital marketing strategy, planning and control as well as quantitative analytics skill, enabling them to conduct their own data analysis and confidently evaluate analysis done by others.
Minimum lower 2nd Class UK Honours undergraduate degree from a recognised institution; other equivalent international qualifications as recommended by the National Academic Recognition Centre will be accepted; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a recent pass in either: Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English grade C; or GCSE/IGCSE English grade C; or IB Diploma English A grade 4 or above HL or SL; or IB Diploma English B grade 5 at HL; or IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component for non-EU students); or TOEFL internet-based test 90 (with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing for non-EU students); or Pearson Test 58 (with a minimum of 51 in each component); applicants whose last 3 years of full-time education have been taught completely in English may be exempt from taking an English language test.
Term 1 modules include: the evolution of marketing management; information technology trends for marketing; digital marketing communications and analytics 1; research methods 1. Term 2 modules include: understanding the digital consumer; social media marketing and analytics; digital marketing communications and analytics 2; research methods 2. Term 3 modules include: elective module; dissertation or consultancy project.
