The CILIP accredited MSc Digital Curation course is designed to equip students with relevant knowledge and skills, including knowledge organisation and project management. The course has been developed in close consultation with leading Digital Curation practitioners. Students benefit from guest presentations and opportunities to engage with relevant organisations to develop professional practices.
All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.
Stage 1: knowledge organisation; concepts and theories of digital curation; project management for digital curation; digital curation technologies. Stage 2: research methods; user participation and engagement; digital curation governance; system development for digital curation. Stage 3: Choose one of the following: dissertation; digital curation masters project.
