Information and Network Security

The course aims to produce computing specialists who are able to design and maintain secure information systems and networks. The course is designed to satisfy the demands of industry and information technology providers for software developers and computing practitioners.

Entry requirements

This course is ideal for students who possess an Honours degree in computing or with significant computing content. This requirement may be relaxed for candidates with significant relevant industrial experience. All international students, for whom English is not their 1st language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.0 or its equivalent prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.

Modules include: computer security; database security; system programming and security; cisco ccna 1-2; web system development; professional development and research skills; cisco ccna 3-4; network security; project investigation; project.
