Professional Engineering Programme

Designed for engineers working in the energy industry, the programme aims to broaden and deepen students' knowledge and understanding of a variety of engineering-based facets of the industry and to support their career development and progression. The programme is flexible with regards to module choice, allowing selection from a range of topics from the School of Engineering. There is also the potential to achieve a course specific award. This programme has been designed to encourage a variety of applicants who wish to further their career through CPD, gain a wider appreciation of other disciplines or gain accreditation to a professional body as part of a further learning plan.

Entry requirements

Each module has specific entry requirements, refer to the module descriptor for specific details. This programme is suitable for those who hold an Honours degree, or equivalent in an appropriate discipline at 2.2 or above. However, we treat each applicant individually - if you have appropriate experience and the academic potential then we may consider you. All students for whom English is not their 1st language must provide evidence of their English language skills by gaining Academic IELTS with 6.5 overall and a minimum of 5.5 in each element or equivalent.
