This programme has been developed to produce graduates with a thorough knowledge of the way in which the market functions; focusing on the strategic management of UK real estate, with an emphasis on case-study-based learning, it provides graduates with the ability to quickly analyse the systems and institutions that underpin this market.
Applicants normally required an Honours degree (minimum 2.1); mature candidates with significant relevant work experience and lower academic qualifications also considered following interview; IELTS 6.5 average with no element below 5.5; students with other qualifications (e.g. alternative English language or overseas qualifications) are considered.
Core modules: Valuation and development; land and property management; investment and development; real estate agency and asset management; dissertation.
Assessment of each case study is based on a written report and an oral examination which is not only based on the submitted case study reports, but it also tests that learning outcomes have been achieved; there are no formal, unseen written examinations.
