Enterprise Systems Professional
Students learn to develop internet-enabled enterprise systems; the programme also includes a 12-week professional course that allows students to gain a professional SAP qualification in their chosen business area; students study a research principles and practice module and then take a substantial research project resulting in a dissertation.
Normally an Honours degree (2.2 or above) in computing or a computer-related subject; applicants without a degree are also considered based on their work experience and other formal qualifications; for applicants whose 1st language is not English: IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent); or alternatively a Sheffield Hallam University pre-sessional English course.
Modules include: logical database development; enterprise systems; enterprise applications; study skills for professionals; industrial expertise; research principles; web application design and modelling; information technology (IT) project management; knowledge representation; databases and the web; research project; dissertation.
Assessment methods include: presentations; technical reports; demonstrations; student-delivered seminars; written submissions/essays.
