Special Educational Needs Coordination
Applicants must be qualified as teachers and designated as the special educational needs coordinator (SENCO); an inclusion manager; in a position to undertake the duties of a SENCO. The course is designed for new SENCOs but applications from experienced SENCOs are also welcome.
Modules include: SENCO as manager: evaluation and developing policy and provision; SENCO as leader: people, principles and partnerships.
Assessment methods include: design professional guidance materials; presentations; research project; reflective journal.
