International Commercial Law

Designed to advance knowledge of international commercial law, this course is ideal for both recent graduates and professionals wishing to develop a career in this area. Students increase their knowledge of both European and international commercial law and build on this knowledge with work-based learning within the university or in an external law firm.

Entry requirements

Typically a good degree in law or related discipline. Candidates with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply. If English is not the applicant's first language they typically need an IELTS 6.5 score with at least 6.5 in reading and writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other skills or equivalent.

Course modules

International trade law; intellectual property law; international corporate governance; alternative dispute resolution; legal skills and research methods; law in practice (work-based learning); dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assignments; oral presentations; case studies/experience evaluation; dissertation.
