Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
Become a confident teacher of the English language on this course. It is suitable for UK and international graduates with no or limited teaching experience. This course covers teaching the English language in international settings, and includes a research project that gives you specialist knowledge of English language teaching.Key points: suitable for UK or international graduates with little or no experience of teaching English; gain a critical and reflective understanding of classroom practice; learn about teaching English language within an international context; develop a practical portfolio of teaching materials, lesson plans and a development plan.
Applicants should normally hold an Honours degree or equivalent containing a significant element of English language or English language teaching or education. Applicants may be asked to take part in a telephone interview. Applicants whose 1st language is not English typically need an IELTS 6.5 score with a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing and 5.5 in all other skills or equivalent.
