Students prepare for senior health and social care roles; they apply what they learn in the workplace and analyse the results as part of the course; students reflect on what they have done and discuss with lecturers and other managers on the course, gaining insights based on theory and practice.

Entry requirements

Applicants normally have: a degree level qualification or the professional equivalent; management responsibilities for people, resources, systems and/or areas of service development; experience in managing people; 2 to 3 years' of work experience.

Course modules

Modules include: the agile leader; the leadership environment; leading sustainable change; leading people, strategy and systems; service improvement and evaluation; team effectiveness; real world enquiry for leaders; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Most assessment involves work-based assignments.
