Occupational Therapy (post-registration)
This course explores contemporary practices in occupational therapy with an international online learning community. If not already registered the course provides the skills and knowledge to apply for HCPC registration. Students: explore their practice in occupational therapy with an international online community; benefit from the flexibility of distance learning; gain a Master�s degree that is tailored to their personal and professional needs.
Normally a degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy which is approved in the applicant�s home country and recognised by World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT); if students are applying straight from their degree, a 1st or Upper 2nd Class degree is normally required; international students must also have 1 of the following: English IELTS score of 6.5 (and no element is below 6.0); TOEFL paper score of 590; TOEFL computer score of 245; TOEFL iBT of 90.
Core modules: applying reasoning in practice; contemporary practices in occupational therapy; occupational therapy in wider contexts; applying research methods in practice; dissertation. Options: health ergonomics in the workplace; occupational approaches to health and wellbeing; concepts of learning and teaching; work-based learning module.
Assessment in through a variety of methods including virtual presentations, written assessments, case study reports. There are no formal written exams.
