Our main areas of sport and physical activity expertise are reflected in our research programmes. These include: The economics of sport; physical activity for health; elite sport; exercise physiology; event impact; performance management; sports engineering; biomechanics; programme evaluation; equipment mechanics; sports participation; workplace wellness; psychology; volunteers in sport; sport analytics; strategic planning.
An appropriate Master�s degree or an Honours degree 2.1 or above, from a UK higher education institution or equivalent. Other qualifications and experience are considered on their merits. Applicants are interviewed. Applicants from countries whose native language is not English normally require an IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent) is the standard for non-native speakers of English.
Thesis followed by viva voce examination.
