Total Quality Management and Organisational Excellence
This course enables professional managers to develop their career potential by enhancing their knowledge and skills in total quality management and organisational excellence. Successfully completing it entitles application for full membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI). Students benefit from a practical focus on personal management development skills and can gain Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) status, the gold standard for the quality profession. Existing CQI members can gain continuing professional development status. Graduates of this course can also take advantage MPhil/PhD opportunities in this area.
A degree or an equivalent recognised professional qualification in any discipline; and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. If English is not applicants 1st language: IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills. If applicants do not have a 1st degree, they may be considered individually based on their professional experience and any other formal qualifications.
Core modules: fundamentals of quality; process and service improvement; statistical process control and 6 sigma; managing change and innovation; research methods; dissertation. Options: supply chain management and partnering; performance measurement; training on the EFQM excellence model.
