Typically a 2.1 Honours degree in a relevant subject or a recognised professional qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject; relevant subjects include business management, finance, accounting, economics, banking, law, the natural sciences, information technology (IT) and computing; applicants without these academic qualifications may be considered dependent on personal, professional and work experience and other formal qualifications; overseas applicants from countries whose 1st language is not English must normally produce evidence of competence in English, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills.
Modules include: finance; methods of enquiry; banking and financial markets; financial risk management; financial regulation and supervision; fund management; advanced portfolio management; research methods; dissertation. Optional modules include: corporate finance; financial analysis; Islamic banking; global business strategy; consultancy project; international treasury management.
Assessment methods include examinations, phase tests, individual assignments, group work tasks.
