Facilities Management

The course focuses on developing leading edge knowledge and skill sets, improving your ability to successfully lead and manage organisations in an ever changing and increasingly competitive environment. It meets the needs of people who manage in-sourced or out-sourced facilities for their own organisation or provide facilities management services to other organisations.

Entry requirements

Applicants require a 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent and 2 years managerial and operational experience or significant managerial and operational experience. For applicants without English as a native language an IELTS score of 6.5 with 6.0 in all skills or equivalent is required. All applicants are interviewed.

Course modules

Year 1: delivering strategic facilities management; strategic global human resource management and decision making; strategic property asset management; strategic project management; developing personal and professional leadership practice 1; year 2: strategic marketing management and decision making; leadership, partnership and change within facilities management; managing strategy; developing personal and professional leadership practice 2 (work based consultancy project); year 3: research and consultancy methods; dissertation or consultancy project.
