Migration and Diaspora Studies

This programme is a broad based course for students who want to receive specialised research training in migration and diaspora studies; it encourages a transdisciplinary approach to issues of migration and diaspora, providing historical depth as well as perspectives from anthropology, sociology, and postcolonial studies.

Entry requirements

Minimum upper 2nd Class Honours (or equivalent).

Course modules

African and Asian diasporas in the contemporary world; dissertation in anthropology and sociology; ethnographic research methods; theoretical approaches to social anthropology.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
