This programme provides a solid interdisciplinary social science formation in development theory and practice and develops students' capacities for independent and critical analysis.

Entry requirements

Minimum upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or equivalent); relevant work experience may also be considered.

Course modules

Political economy of development; theory, policy and practice of development; dissertation in development studies; geopolitics and security in Central Asia and the Caucasus; state and society in central Asia and the Caucasus.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
