This course will give you the high-level design skills and understanding of visual communications theory you�ll need for a great future. Use it to build a rewarding career in art direction, animation, brand identity, information design, publishing, typography, web design or app design. You�ll learn the principles of visual communication, and develop a network of contacts within the industry through Solent�s extensive professional contacts. You�ll study the latest innovations in visual design and examine the way technological and cultural changes have fed into the latest thinking. With access to excellent graphic design facilities and an expanding research base, you�ll make an innovative contribution to graphic design through a major design project.
A degree in a creative arts discipline. Applicants not meeting these requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis if they have other relevant evidence to support their application; a portfolio presentation will be required. If your first language is not English, you must have an IELTS score of 6.5 (6.0 writing), or equivalent. Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language. The agreed minimum requirements for this course are: IELTS minimum 6.5 (6.0 in writing); TOEFL IBT 92 (22 in writing); PTE Academic 61 (56 in writing) or equivalent.

Assessment is based on project work and coursework.
