International Tourism Development

Entry requirements

An Honours degree usually 2nd class or above in tourism, development studies, geography, management studies, or environmental studies (or an appropriate first degree which contains a substantive tourism or management studies element) from a recognised university or equivalent; students who do not have an honours degree will have to have an appropriate professional experience in the tourism industry or development sector, combined with evidence of capacity to study at master's level.

Tourism and development; planning development theories and concepts; tourism practise (fieldwork); three from: tourism in developing countries; planning and developing tourist destinations; sustainable development and tourism; issues in international tourism; global cities; research methods; dissertation.
