Economics for Business Analysis
This course covers the analysis of business from the viewpoint of the discipline of economics. In particular, economics analysis is applied to fundamental issues related to the behaviour and performance of modern business organisations. However, in the process of studying the theoretical concepts and empirical methods necessary for research activity in this area, students also appreciate the research process applicable to most areas of economics.
There are eight taught modules followed by a dissertation in a related area of a choice: macroeconomic analysis; economic analysis of the firm 1; economic analysis of the firm 2; contemporary issues in applied economics; econometrics 1; econometrics 2; business finance; financial reporting analysis; dissertation.
