This course allows in depth exploration of a research question involving personal research under the expert guidance of a supervisory team in Law. Research supervision is available and proposals are welcome in the areas of: Critical legal studies; company law; comparative law; child law; civil liberties; criminal law; criminology; environmental law; European law; employment law; family law; feminism and feminist legal theory; medical law; medical ethics; industrial law; welfare benefits.

Assessment methods

You will undertake a project of around 40,000 words under expert supervision, exploring topics and producing a thesis from your own research in preparation for an oral viva in which you will defend your thesis.
