Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting and School Nursing)

Tprogramme is different to traditional undergraduate awards, as it requires you to be sponsored by an NHS Trust who will employ you for the duration of it. Practice based learning constitutes 50% of the programme and both this, and the 50% academic element, must be passed for you to complete the awards and be eligible to record your qualification with the NMC. The programmes are carefully planned so that your practical and academic pathways are clear to you at the start of your learning journey. Trust sponsorship or secondment should be attained to enrol on the programme.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree in a relevant subject area; applicants who lack the academic qualifications but with significant appropriate experience may be admitted on the provision of substantial evidence of their ability to undertake the award; applicants must be registered on Part 1 or Part 2 of the Nursing and Midwifery register; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS score of 7 or equivalent.
