This course offers integrated training in the writing of literary and media text; it aims to provide core training and is taught by experienced writers, offering a wide range of writing genres including fiction, short story, poetry, drama, screenwriting and creative non-fiction.
The typical entry requirement is a 1st degree in a relevant discipline, normally a lower 2nd or above or equivalent, and a short portfolio of writing. Overseas students are expected to possess an IELTS score of 6.5.
Modules could include: Writing fiction; writing poetry; screenwriting; dissertation; non-fiction and travel; writing radio drama; genre; writing the self; international dramaturgy.
