Legal Practice Course

This course develops important practice skills and confidence for a successful career in law in England and Wales.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold the following qualifications: 2.2 degree or above in law or a graduate diploma in law. Degrees must be a qualifying law degree as specified by the SRA. 3rd Class degrees will also be considered subject to satisfactory interview. IELTS requirement 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.

Course modules

Stage 1 core practice areas: business law and practice; property law and practice; criminal and civil litigation; wills and administration of estates; professional conduct and regulation; solicitors accounts and taxation; advocacy; drafting and writing; practical legal research. Stage 2 vocational electives: advanced commercial law; business leases; employment law; advanced criminal law; family law and practice; personal injury and clinical negligence.
